Happy Holidays.  We are ending 2006 the same way we started it, BUSY.  Currently, we have several projects going on in Fresno, Morro Bay, Kingsburg, and even down in Porterville.  I'll post pictures soon.

We have found that challenges breed creativity. In the case of our recent project, we had a floor that was two different colors. Instead of simply cutting a line and moving on, we recreated a tile that was on the fireplace. The result was an eye catching transition that brings continuity to the space. We are now using a newer version of our imaging software.
This software allows us to take a digital photo of your home or project, and then show you what it will look like with decorative concrete. With the new update, we now can use our Solid Solutions custom color pallet. Be sure to ask for a before and after shot on your next estimate.

We're in! Solid solution Studios is now completely set up in our new facility. Our 5000 square foot building features an updated show room, additional casting tables, and plenty of room to host our upcoming workshops. So stop by and see what Solid Solutions has to offer. We are please to announce our next Wild Workshop. It will be held on Oct 26-27th. As part of the Workshop, we will be putting down the floor in our new showroom. This is the best why I know to give attendees some real world experience. The floor will be Pentimento, with several Flatoos, and a combination of Water, acid, and Solvent based Dyes

We have moved! Solid Solutions Studios has now doubled it's size, by moving to a new facility. The best part is, it's right across the street form our old studio. The new location will better serve us with a larger show room and more room to hold our workshops. The new address is 2157 N Briarwood Ave. Fresno, CA 93705

We are happy to announce that our mix design has changed.
After several years of testing, we have developed a new countertop mix that is not only stronger than anything else out there, but lighter as well. Along with this new design comes a new color pallet and sealer options. Needless to say we are very excited. Look for a new color chart soon.

Our latest Wild Workshop was a blast. We did a pretty crazy floor in the SS office that featured many different techniques. Check the gallery for pictures.

Our trip to Arizona was a success. We hauled over 1500 lbs of concrete countertops to Payson AZ, where they were installed in the new Leseur Home. The drive took almost 11 hours, but was well worth it. We enjoyed the reaction we got from people passing, as they saw the countertops in the truck. One gentleman, at a gas station, said "He had never seen anything like it" and promptly asked for our card.

We just completed a Pentimento floor for the Stephani Catron design Studio. It featured 14 perfect circles, and was colored with Someru and Decographic dyes. We will post pictures in the gallery shortly.

We have been asked to install the flooring for a new Viking kitchen at Central Distributing in Fresno. The floor will showcase the Pentimento overlay from Colormaker as well as many decorative saw cut and designs. Look for it in April.

We're remodeling! The Solid Solutions studio is undergoing a major transformation. We will be adding 3 new decorative floors, 3 new countertop pieces, the walls will be textured with Sgraffino, as well as many new samples to draw ideas from. We'll keep you posted on the progress and completion date.

Please join us at the Fresno Art Museum on May 5th for a NKBA Cinco De Mayo party. There will be great food, drinks and music on hand. The keynote speaker is Marc Mendelsohn. Marc is the leading expert in universal design. The event will take place between 5-9pm. Call us if you have any questions.

We have some jobs to keep an eye out for. We will be doing the floor at the new Caliches Frozen Custard location. It will include some saw cuts as wells as a big ice cream cone engraved onto the floor. Also we will be adding some decorative concrete at the Settco showroom on Blackstone and Shaw. It will include some countertops as well as a very interesting floor.

I am off to The World of Concrete in Las Vegas. I’ll be walking the floor with David Cunningham from David jack Corp. on Thursday. We will be attending some of the mega demos as well as some seminars. If you are going to the show be sure to check out our countertop at the Concrete Network booth. Other booths worth seeing are Color Maker Floors, Sun Coast, and Surface Gel Tek.

I took the Solid Solutions crew up to Roseville CA near Sacramento to do a floor for the new Toys That Teach

Location. It was a 3000 square foot facility that we saw cut and stained. The colors turned out amazing. Deep greens and purples were mixed in with some antique tan acid stain. It was visually breathtaking. Before we sealed it, we acid etched and tinted the Toys That Teach logo in the floor. It is an attention grabber to say the least.

We have completed the floor at Kitchen and Bath Plus in their new River Park location. Look for the pictures to be up soon. We saw cut a twisting pathway throughout the store and then stained it several colors. There is also an eye catching concrete countertop that features two Elkay undermount sinks. It is 4’x6’ and four inches thick. It took 5 of us to move it, but it was worth the effort. Stop by Kitchen and Bath plus at 260 west El Paso in Fresno and take a look.
